Tallaght Community Arts Centre

The building incorporates 10 south facing solar panels mounted on the roof comprising of approx.
25 m
2 of surface area producing all the
hot water for the entire building.

The Urban Institute - University College Dublin

The building incorporates timber louvers over low level windows and high level roof vents which together
with the CO
2, heat sensors and other devises allow the building management system to operate and
control the internal environment and thereby the cost of heating the building.

The building incorporates a heating cooling ventilation management system with a number
of eco features such as under-floor heating; external window blinds which are sunshine controlled
and natural light roof windows with ventilation louvers.

Killiney House - Dublin

The building is heated throughout by an under-floor system which is feed by a geothermal
heat pump. Water at 4
oC is circulated through the boreholes where the temperature increases to 35
oC - 40
oC
which is topped up by a gas fired boiler. The building uses e-glass which has a special film allowing heat
from natural light to pass through while acting as an insulator when the temperature outside drops.
